Check Out DJ Catfishrivers, at The River’s Edge 10pm EST

Hey everyone,

You know how this site was all inspired and revolves around our musical talents, please check out DJ Catfishrivers at 10pm EST at http://radio.spiritplants.org/.

Here’s a repost of what you can find at Catfish’s site:

After many moons, Catfish Rivers is back with a new episode of The Rivers Edge. There must have been a lot of creative juices that got held back during his hiatus because the new episode is BURSTING with sonic juice!

If you’re not wearing headphones, then you’re going to miss out on half the experience. For optimal absorption of the mind altering sound waves embedded in this production, wear headphones and lay down in the dark with your eyes closed. Your mind will bend regardless of whether you ate that magic brownie earlier tonight or not! So hang on tight, and let your mind enter the flow of The Rivers Edge, with DJ Catfish Rivers, the bottom feeder with flow.

Here’s this week’s set list. The theme centers around the idea of Death and Life and forgetting which is which…Timothy Leary’s “The Psychedelic Experience,” which is essentially the 60?s rewrite of The Tibetan Book of the Dead, or The Bardo Thodol, plays a prominent role in the show, serving as a sort of spine for which many of the other recordings to climb upon and around. Alvin Lucier’s “I am Sitting in a Room” is also featured in its entirety, although it would be a real feat for the listener to keep her attention pinned to that one current of the sea of sounds this episode unleashes upon the listener’s psyche. It’s pretty far out!
