Earth like planet discovered only 40 million light years away!

Celebrate people! We now have a place to go after 2012! A mere 40 million light years away from Earth, a, “super-Earth exoplanet” named GJ 1214b is 2.7 times the Earth’s radius and 6.6 times the Earth’s mass. It has a small, cool parent star that it orbits once every 1.6 days and is thought to have temperatures around 200 degrees Celsius. Did I mention it has large oceans of what seems to be water? Oh yeah, one more thing…IT HAS AN ATMOSPHERE as well. Check out this news report on it:

All the basic building blocks for life…and with our technology, and I mean the REAL TECHNOLOGY, not the tinkertoys we are led to believe is the cutting edge of what’s out there, but the real deal. We already have a space fleet, or at least the United States does. We just learned this from German computer hacker, Gary McKinnon, who hacked into NASA computers using a 56k modem connection, that we already posses technology both captured and reversed engineered from actual UFOs! So who knows, with all this technology supposedly in our hands, I can totally see us as having a fleet of ships tucked away, ready to cosmically cart off the cream of the crop of humanity to this new planet only 40 million light years away. But who knows, what if this new planet already has lifeforms living on it. If so I can see us becoming one of our own worst nightmares…the invading aliens.
