Young Quebec patriots drop off 101 pork tongues to promote French language.

MONTREAL - With their tongues firmly planted in their cheeks and another 101 pork tongues in a bowl, members of the Young Patriots of Quebec visited the riding office of Quebec Culture Minister Christine St-Pierre today.
The handful of young nationalists were there to drop off the tongues after the Liberal government brushed aside calls to revamp Quebec’s French Language Charter, also known as Bill 101.
Group spokesman Francois Gendron says the Liberal government is ready to suck the life out of the language, leaving behind a bitter taste.
Langue, the French word for language, also means tongue.
Earlier this week, a local newspaper reported that English was making inroads as the language of business in the Montreal area.
But St-Pierre says downtown Montreal is still predominantly French and a study shows that 90 per cent of the 2,500 businesses visited provided service in French.
Pork tongue is actually very tasty. as sick as it sounds, I have eaten it, and it is tough, but good in stews, and soups. Nothing though can beat pig knuckles. Those are the jellies of the deep! YUMZO YUMZO YUMZO. GO GIANTS!
